Sensitive to eating out? or processed foods? Phenols, Additives, Salicylates, Amines & Glutamates
This is not low glycemic, gluten free or allergen free. It just avoids synthetic chemicals and salicylates mainly. Some people find that if they avoid the chemicals, preservatives, additives or salicylates then gluten and sugar are not a problem for them. Phenols can be hidden in many foods. For example, you might think you have a dairy sensitivity because you drink skim or low fat milk. In fact, you might be having a problem with the Vitamin A palmitate that is added to low fat milks. The palmitate is often preserved with a phenolic compound. Switch to whole milk or raw milk and the 'dairy sensitivity' goes away. It can be crazy-making!
