Iden·ti·ty
n.
1. an individual’s sense of self defined by
(a) a set of physical, psychological, and interpersonal characteristics that is not wholly shared with any other person and
(b) a range of affiliations (e.g., ethnicity) and social roles.
Identity involves a sense of continuity, or the feeling that one is the same person today that one was yesterday or last year (despite physical or other changes). Such a sense is derived from one’s body sensations; one’s body image; and the feeling that one’s memories, goals, values, expectations, and beliefs belong to the self. Also called personal identity.

Dr. Carla Kreft is a board certified Naturopathic Physician, acupuncturist, and Classical Chinese Herbalist with licences in Washington, DC and New York. She is also a certified Focusing practitioner.
With over 15 years of experience in general medicine, Carla has had some powerful results combining her Eastern and Western medical skillsets. Her success has come from listening deeply, being fully present, and taking the time to study each patient in order to be able to provide truly personal wholistic medicine for both the body and the soul. However, at the moment, Carla is not taking new patients for Naturopathic or Chinese medicine.
Diving ever-deeper into the root source of health and healing, Dr. Kreft is currently exploring the role of the subconscious sense of identity in affecting healing outcomes.
Based mainly on the techniques of Focusing, and ancient Chinese medical prescriptions around mental states conducive to healing, Carla holds the space and guides private, online Identity Work sessions with clients around the world.
Please feel free to book an online session at your convenience, or get in touch here if you have special circumstances or requests and are interested in working or training with Carla.
